The Goat Puzzle

[edit]
  • Comment: Brand new article with reliable sources.

Created/expanded by Khanassassin (talk). Self nom at 11:59, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

  • Article is appropriately new (same day as DYK nom) and long enough, and appears to fall within policy with sourcing.
  • The hook is too long by just a few characters. "Point and click" doesn't help much here, so I would take that out to get it under. Fact is good and sourced (in that many sources state this as a renowed difficult puzzle).
  • Nom only has 2 DYK's, no QPQ needed. No image to worry about. --MASEM (t) 16:10, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the review! I removed point and click so, is it good now? :) All the best, --Khanassassin 17:24, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
  • Hook is still overlong at 226 characters: 200 is the absolute maximum, and shorter and snappier is always best, so details should be jettisoned wherever possible. I've struck it, and am suggesting the following ALT1, which clocks in at 167 characters:
An ALT2 can certainly be suggested if you're not fond of my attempt. I'm not entirely sure I like "by many"... —BlueMoonset (talk) 17:53, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
Your's very nice. :) No need for ALT2. :) --Khanassassin 18:04, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
- new ALT is fine now; the removal would have been my second choice to cut down characters (and the article does support "by many" in terms of sourcing). --MASEM (t) 18:56, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
