  • I also saw this in the news, quite shocking in this age. Article is new enough, long enough, neutral, and well referenced. Hook is cited, neutral, and interesting. No copyvio detected. Awaiting QPQ. -Zanhe (talk) 23:47, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
  • Thanks. Good to go. -Zanhe (talk) 07:06, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
  • @Zanhe: I have added an ALT1 based on recent events that might be an even better draw for readers. SounderBruce 08:16, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
  • Yes, that's even better. ALT1 verified and good to go. -Zanhe (talk) 08:27, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
  • The page has a merge tag. Yoninah (talk) 21:52, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah: The merge tags have been removed, given that the discussion has stalled out. SounderBruce 07:01, 14 March 2019 (UTC)
  • Thank you. Glad we can run this during Women's History Month. Yoninah (talk) 14:47, 14 March 2019 (UTC)
@Yoninah: Given that there's been a significant update to this story, the hook needs to be modified. I'm proposing the following: ... that after the editor of an Alabama newspaper called for the return of the Klu Klux Klan, he was replaced by an African American woman who resigned weeks later? SounderBruce 03:25, 17 March 2019 (UTC)
@SounderBruce: But what does that add to the hook? In fact, it deflates from it. We often run hooks that tell only part of the story to whet readers' interest. Yoninah (talk) 10:58, 17 March 2019 (UTC)
