- All (date, refs, size, QPQ, copyvio spotcheck, neutrality, etc.) is fine except... the hooks are so mundane that they are arguably too boring for the mainpage (WP:DYKINT). Maybe something about the "potential water contamination"? That at least can be seen as newsworthy. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 11:43, 27 March 2024 (UTC)

- @Piotrus: Added an ALT2 hook. Can't really explain the water contamination situation in a hooky manner, but will look into it later. SounderBruce 22:03, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
- SounderBruce, I am really sorry, but ALT2 seems also very mundane. I hate to torpedo your DYK nom for what is essentially my subjective view, but maybe we need a second opinion. I'll ask at WT:DYK if someone else finds any of the hooks here interesting and passable. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:45, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- Coming here from seeing the WT:DYK message. Among the hooks proposed, only ALT3 stands out as a non-technical/non-specialist. I have to agree with Piotrus that the other proposals are not very interesting. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 04:23, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- Also here from WT:DYK notice. First three are mundane, even moreso for any transit users. ALT3 can be sufficient, maybe even spice it up swapping landfill with dump (and don't wikilink):
- ALT4 ... that the Swift Orange Line ends at a former dump?—Bagumba (talk) 09:09, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
There's more to say about the landfill. Andrew🐉(talk) 09:40, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- ALT5 ... that the constructors of the Swift Orange Line were fined for breaching a landfill?
- I think ALT3-5 are ok. Probably ALT5 from user:Andrew Davidson is the most attention-grabbing. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:12, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- It's amusing to note that today's FA seems even duller. It's good that DYK keeps the main page lively and interesting. Andrew🐉(talk) 08:02, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- The second qp is not done (should be submitted within seven days) so I will donate one Template:Did you know nominations/Marcelino Gutiérrez so that I can promote. Bruxton (talk) 20:39, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
