Summer Love (Justin Timberlake song)
[edit]- ... that despite not being released in the United States, Justin Timberlake's 2007 single "Summer Love" peaked at number six on the US Billboard Hot 100?

- While the article complies with length, newness, etc, I like the hook but it is not verified by the citation. It also surprises me that the fact the song "was not released in the US" is not stated in the body but only in the lede. Find a citation that confirms the hook and all should be well. ww2censor (talk) 02:50, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
- There is no source to show that it wasn't released in the US, but within the article, it shows where exactly it was released, which doesn't include the US. I could try to find a source talking of it, but I doubt there would be one. You usually don't find a report on how a song wasn't released in a certain territory. If that's unacceptable then, I'll write up an alt for it. Statυs ≠ 11:17, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
- While synthesis is not permitted, perhaps you could expand the prose to indicate the release was only in those countries supported by the citations. ww2censor (talk) 03:08, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- It does indeed state where it was released in the lead: "The song was released as the sixth and final single from the album in Europe and New Zealand on November 12, 2007", in "release": "Summer Love" was released as the sixth and final single from Timberlake's second studio album FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006). It was digitally released via the iTunes Store on November 12, 2007 in certain European countries including Belgium,[10] Denmark,[11] Finland,[12] Portugal[13] and Sweden,[14] and New Zealand.[15] It contains the single version of "Summer Love" and "Until the End of Time", Timberlake's duet with American recording artist Beyoncé Knowles. On December 7, 2007, it was physically released as a CD single in Germany and contains the same material as the previous digital release.[16] The same CD single was also released in France on December 10, 2007", and again shown in the release history. I don't think there's much more I can do. So, let's move on to the alts, shall we? Statυs (talk) 11:22, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- I agree with Status. I read both of the alts and I can see that ALT 2 is kind of better. — Tomica (talk) 11:50, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- ALT 1: ... that Bill Lamb of About.com noted Justin Timberlake's 2007 single "Summer Love" to be inspired by the works of his former band 'N Sync? Statυs (talk) 19:58, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
- ALT 2: ... that Justin Timberlake's 2007 single "Summer Love" to about wanting to fall in love with a "lusty seasonal lover"? Statυs (talk) 11:22, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
