Striated thornbill

[edit]
Striated thornbill - Captain's Flat
Striated thornbill - Captain's Flat
  • ... that the Striated thornbill was previously known as the "stripe-crowned tit-warbler"? Source
    • ALT1:... that the Striated thornbill often hangs upside-down while foraging? Source: "You are strongly encouraged to quote the source text supporting each hook" (and [link] the source, or cite it briefly without using citation templates)

  • Expanded enough, well-verified, no copyvio, etc. But...my dear Casliber...as happy as we all are that this bird won't have to live with this clunky name anymore, is there a more exciting hook we can pull out of this? Eating upside-down is kind of cool, and that it pollinates while doing that (as an insect eater, so not directly interested in flowery genitalia), maybe that's something? I expanded it cos of the pretty picture...and then was challenged by the material to come up with something interesting. Will think some more...Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 03:45, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
Ha, yes--cute little bird. 7 grams? That's so light--I went and checked that source since I didn't believe it. I guess I had no idea how light birds were, haha. Drmies (talk) 03:46, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
Ok added ALT1 above. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 10:07, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
That's fine with me, Cas Liber--let's go with ALT1, y'all. Drmies (talk) 13:17, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
