- Comment: I had another idea for a DYK but didn't know where to put it, so I'm putting it here. I do prefer the first DYK if only one can be chosen, though. It's kind of neat that she personally requested that the PS ban be lifted.Tokyogirl79 (talk) 10:15, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

- The hook's grammar seems a little off ("and" feels like the wrong conjunction). I'd suggest a corrected one, but for some reason people are seeing that as a COI leading to me not ultimately being able to give a tick. Otherwise hook is fine. Article is new enough, long enough, well-cited. No close paraphrasing on the refs I've checked. Only image has a FUR, solid enough for DYK purposes.
- Summary: Fix the hook's grammar and this is peachy. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 15:51, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

- Suggest slightly tweaked hook:
- ALT2... that the ban on mailing Lillian Smith's Strange Fruit within the United States was repealed upon a request from the First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt?
