Stan Mataele
- ... that Stan Mataele lied about having experience playing football so he could be on his college's team, and when found out, made the squad anyway and was all-state? Source: Arizona Republic

- Comment: Note that I might not have much time to do QPQs until around November 3/4, hopefully that's alright.
Improved to Good Article status by BeanieFan11 (talk). Self-nominated at 21:07, 25 October 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Stan Mataele; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.
- Recent expansion and promotion, no plagiarism, properly written. Hook interesting and verified on good sources. I am entirely incompetent when it comes to gridiron topics, but I do have a minor concern about whether Pro-Football-Reference.com (not used for the hook) is a WP:RS. QPQ also needs addressing. - @Dahn: QPQ added; also, note that Pro-Football-Reference.com has long been considered one of the most reliable references (pun intended) for football statistics and is used on over 30,000 articles. BeanieFan11 (talk) 21:58, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
