Shrek on the Internet
[edit]- ... that the name of online fans of the Shrek series, "brogres", is a take on the word "bronies", a name for the adult fanbase of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic?
- ALT1:that a fan-made video called "Shrek is love, Shrek is life" and its duplicates had garnered more than three million views by May 2014?
- ALT2:that several sexually explicit memes related to the Shrek series included what The Daily Dot described as "awful puns, half-assed Photoshops, bizarre fan fiction," and a horror game?
- ALT3:that a Source Filmmaker scene based on the Internet's love towards Shrek was described by PC Magazine as "One of the craziest and funniest underground Source Filmmaker movements"?

- New enough (per time of nomination). Citations are present in the article and the hooks all have sources. I would, however, recommend shortening all but ALT 1, despite that the original DYK hook is most interesting, in my opinion.--GouramiWatcherTalk 04:34, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
- Done, and remember, Shrek is love, Shrek is Life. edtiorEهեইдအီးËეεઈדוארई電子ಇអ៊ី전자ഇī😎 00:41, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- I'd say this one is good to go! Thanks!--GouramiWatcherTalk 23:26, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
