[edit]- ... that in Eastern Africa and islands in the Indian Ocean, shark meat (pictured) has been a significant source of protein for centuries?

- The quotations in the lead are odd; it is easy to rephrase these if you are worried about copyvio and I wouldn't worry to much about it anyway as certain phrases have limited variations; according to their articles Requiem shark and Thresher shark are not species but families, so "several species" is either incorrect or the list is too imprecise to be useful; get me, the shark expert, duh duh...duh duh. Pippet. Pippet. Come on, Pippet. Belle (talk) 00:10, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
- Full review needed. I have copy edited the article regarding the species matter. I rephrased one quote in the lead, but left one in place, as it is the most accurate way to present the information. North America1000 07:22, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
- This article is new enough and long enough. I have rephrased the lead sentences because I thought them too close to the source and the single remaining quotation was unnecessary, especially as it was an inaccurate quotation. Otherwise I did not find any close paraphrasing, and the article is neutral. The image is suitably licensed. On page 71 of the main source, the area of Africa mentioned is East Africa not West Africa. Or did your "West Africa" come from somewhere else? East Africa also ties in better with the Indian Ocean islands. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:46, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Cwmhiraeth: Thanks for pointing this out. I have edited the article and the hook above to reflect that the location is Eastern Africa, as per the source. North America1000 10:18, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
- With that matter resolved, this is ready to go. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:33, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
