... that in Islamic art, the shamsa is found in places as diverse as on carpets, inside domes (pictured), and forming the frontispiece of books? Source: "The shamsa, also appears frequently on carpets, metalwork, on the interiors of domes over mosques and tombs, and other decorative art in Islamic art."
Overall: Cwmhiraeth and Johnbod, I’ve completed my review of this article and the hook and find that they meet or exceed DYK criteria. I confirmed that the article was created by Cwmhiraeth on December 17, 2020, and that it is readable prose size at 3146 characters (516 words). The hook image is licensed as CC BY 4.0, and the other two images in the article are released into the public domain. All content is sourced from verifiable references that meet Wikipedia standards, and there is no close paraphrasing. -- West Virginian (talk) 17:49, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
I replaced the image, which does not appear in the article, with one that does. Yoninah (talk) 13:19, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
On 26 December, someone changed the image in the article. I was inspired to write this article because one of the images is due to be Picture of the day on 5 January 2021. I suggest this DYK should not be promoted until a decent time interval has elapsed after the POTD. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 14:31, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
