  • ALT 1 ... that student activists joined forces with the military to overthrow the Cuban government during the 1933 Sergeants' Revolt (pictured)?
  • ALT2 ... that the Cuban Sergeants' Revolt first deposed the senior military officers, and shortly thereafter the government itself?
  • ALT3 ... that Fulgencio Batista left the ABC for the DEU in the 1933 Sergeants' Revolt (pictured) which brought him to power?
  • ALT4 ... that plotters of the 1933 Sergeants' Revolt (pictured) in Havana met in the masonic Grand Lodge of Cuba?

5x expanded by Mathglot (talk), Kaldari (talk), and Groupuscule (talk). Nominated by Groupuscule (talk) at 04:50, 28 September 2017 (UTC).

  • How about
  • By the way there are a lot of public domain images from Cuba that could be used here and in other articles. See here and linked pages. I don't have the time just now, but maybe in a few days if no one beats me to it. groupuscule (talk) 05:20, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
  • This article is a fivefold expansion and is new enough and long enough. The image is in the public domain and I am approving ALT5, which has an inline citation. The article is neutral but most of the sources were not available to me so I did not check for policy issues other than running the article through Earwig. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:01, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
  • Thank you, Cwmhiraeth. I added "pictured" and linked the student activist group in question; OK with you? groupuscule (talk) 06:22, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
That's fine. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:32, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
Attn Cwmhiraeth and other watchers: I don't mean to further complicate this process, but I thought it should be mentioned that Directorio Estudiantil Universitario is now expanded sufficiently for DYK, and thus could simply be bolded in this current hook if a reviewer considers it qualified. If this seems bad or wrong for some reason I will be happy to nominate it separately. Cheers, groupuscule (talk) 21:45, 6 October 2017 (UTC)
  • I have added the new article to the hook and your name as creator to the credits. The ALT5 hook is fine, the new article is long enough and new enough, it is neutral and free from copyright issues as far as I can see. You need to do a QPQ review (in fact you should have done two, but never mind about the first). Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:25, 8 October 2017 (UTC)
  • Excellent, thank you. I already listed a quid-pro-quo for the first article and am now adding one for the second. Mathglot also worked on the Student Directory article, by the way, so I added a template, I hope correctly, to reflect this contribution. groupuscule (talk) 15:38, 9 October 2017 (UTC)
  • Thank you, the credit is correct. Good to go with ALT5. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:14, 9 October 2017 (UTC)
