- I have placed a few concerns about the article's notability on its talk page. Moreover, it's very unclear what species the "forest elephant" is in the first place. It certainly doesn't look to be Loxodonta cyclotis, a modern species which is also called a forest elephant. Fanboyphilosopher (talk) 21:34, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
- I found this. As per (State Office for Monument Preservation and Archeology, Saxony-Anhalt, Halle / Saale) from 2010 states
During the last warm periods 150,000 years ago (Eem warm period) and 320,000 years ago (Holstein warm period), forest elephants lived in what is now Lower Saxony, known as Eurasian elephants (Palaeoloxodon antiquus or Elephas antiquus).
