San Diego Chargers retired numbers

- Neither of the references support either the posthumous nature of the event, or the retirement occurring at a memorial. (In fact, the Tribune article states that it has not yet been retired, but will be on 16 September 2012.) Nikthestoned 10:05, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
- Please refer to the third paragraph at (currently) footnote No. 8, Chargers have several more numbers they should retire. The source refers to "The free celebration of Junior Seau’s life at Qualcomm Stadium" in reference to the memorial, where it says "The evening culminated in Spanos retiring Junior’s No. 55, making him the third Charger with a retired jersey". 16 September 2012 is a reference to a different ceremony to be held during the upcoming season. There are other sources that report the retirement at the memorial[1][2] —Bagumba (talk) 15:18, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
