HMS Winchester

... that Commander Samuel Sparshott, who testified at Lord Gambier's court-martial, and Admiral Edward Sparshott, who commanded the 52-gun HMS Winchester (pictured), were brothers who served in the Napoleonic Wars? Source: Samuel: Gurney 1809: (Sparshott attested that on the 12th April:) The Imperieuse then made that half the fleet could destroy the enemy - seven on shore". Edward: O'Byrne (1849): " (Sparshott) commanded the Winchester 52, as Flag-Captain to Hon. Sir Thos. Bladen Capel In the East Indies. The latter appointment he obtained at the recommendation of William IV". Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815): The articles show them both in action in ships of the Royal Navy in Europe during that period.

(2) I believe that as it stands, the image is rather glamorous as a thumbnail, but if you want me to crop it more, and increase the contrast to make it show up more, I can do that. (3) ALT0 has 183 characters, excluding the second bolded name, and " (pictured)", as per Wikipedia:Did you know/Guidelines#Formatting.
