This is a pleasant read, here are my comments:

Newness: The article was developed and moved mainspace on December 19.

Length: Very well developed.

Compliance to policy: direct quotations are sourced, tone is neutral, article is very carefully sourced.

Hook format and content: hook is 120 characters long, is engaging and sheds some light on the Arab-Byzantine interaction.
