SS Petriana
- ... that SS Petriana was wrecked 200 metres (660 ft) off the Australian coast, but its crew were not allowed to land in Australia? Source: "The wreck of the Petriana still lies in shallow water in pieces around 200 metres off Point Nepean" [1], "[...] the men were taken direct to the Japanese ship from the James Paterson, without once having been permitted to put foot on Australian soil" [2] (semi-paywall)
- ALT1:... that the 1903 wreck of SS Petriana caused Australia's first major oil spill? Source: [3])

- Article is new enough, long enough, well written, neutral, properly sourced and cited, hook is properly sourced, I prefer the original hook, no copyvio, there is a couple of minor close paraphrases from ref. 3, this link, however the source has a CC-4.0 license here, so no problem. Jstor.org source here was verified. QPQ done. Good to go. Bammesk (talk) 01:57, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
