Ruth L. Bennett
- ... that Ruth L. Bennett provided shelter for over 2,000 black women and girls who migrated North to Chester, Pennsylvania as part of the Great Migration? Source: By 1940 the Bennett House had sheltered more than 2,000 girls and young women and In Chester, there are two places named after her: the Ruth L. Bennett House and the Ruth L. Bennett Homes. The Ruth L. Bennett House is the original house where Bennett took in African Americans looking for shelter during the Great Migration.

- I do promote the article Women's shelter for expansion. So let me take this DYK for review. Thanks Bookku, 'Encyclopedias = expanding information & knowledge' (talk) 07:45, 20 May 2022 (UTC)

QPQ: Done. |
Overall: I am not clear on QPQ, is there easier way to check QPQs? The rest DYK seems good. Secondly Ruth L. Bennett seem to have died 75 yrs back so still her copyright free image not available?. As mentioned above, I took on to review this one since I do promote the article Women's shelter for expansion. Thanks and cheers. - @Bookku: Thanks for the review. I completed QPQ with my review of Template:Did you know nominations/Phil McGrane. I can't find a picture of her. There is a painting that comes up on google search but I'm not clear on usage rights. Dwkaminski (talk) 19:05, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- Bookku Dwkaminski The article says "By 1940, the Bennett House had provided shelter for over 2,000 women and girls in need." and the source says "By 1940 the Bennett House had sheltered more than 2,000 girls and young women and there taught them the value of self-respect, decency, and independence." I don't see where "black" is mentioned. SL93 (talk) 18:43, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
- SL93 Bookku Another reference in the article Documenting Oral Histories of Ruth L. Bennett contains the following "In Chester, there are two places named after her: the Ruth L. Bennett House and the Ruth L. Bennett Homes. The Ruth L. Bennett House is the original house where Bennett took in African Americans looking for shelter during the Great Migration." Dwkaminski (talk) 21:42, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
- Dwkaminski That source should also be used for that sentence and "black" should be added to the article. SL93 (talk) 21:50, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
