Ruby Diamond
- ... that prominent Florida State University benefactor Ruby Diamond's (pictured) middle name was Pearl? Source: That’s right: Ruby. Pearl. Diamond. Her parents, Julius and Henrietta (Williams) Diamond, were dedicated enough to the gemstone theme that they snuck in Pearl as a middle name.[1]
- ALT1: ... that Ruby Diamond (pictured), a prominent benefactor to Florida State University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry, once said that she "wasn’t taught to do a blessed thing on earth but smile"? Source: Ruby attended Florida State College (later Florida State College for Women and then Florida State University), graduating with a chemistry degree in 1906. Despite her education, she once remarked that she “wasn’t taught to do a blessed thing on earth but smile,” [2]
- ALT2: ... that Ruby Diamond (pictured), known as "Miss Ruby" to her friends, was compared to the female lead in Driving Miss Daisy? Source: Ruby, who employed a caretaker and a driver (both Black) until her death, has been referred to as Tallahassee’s version of Miss Daisy. [3]

- Went through the article and did a thorough copyedit and rewrite. Article is new enough and long enough. QPQ one. Image is in the public domain. Sources check out for the 3 hooks, though I prefer ALT0. Also propose a perhaps more exciting ALT3:
- ALT3: ... that Ruby Diamond's grandfather was called the "King of the Jews" by the Weekly Floridian?[4]
