Overall: interesting article and hook, didn't even know what a carillon is :) The copyvio result is not so good but what is shown as a violation are the official names of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America and the works of Ronald Barnes. It is my first review, and I'd be glad if someone would look over it, as well. I'd go with ALT1. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 14:27, 1 June 2021 (UTC)

  • @Paradise Chronicle: thanks for pointing this out. The copyvio scanner does show a strong similarity to this page about The Bulletin, but that is because the Wiki article lists all of the articles that Barnes wrote for that journal. Therefore, the result should be squeaky clean after a first glance! Thrakkx (talk) 14:38, 1 June 2021 (UTC)

Overall: I conducted a copyedit of the article, which caused the article to go below the 5x expansion requirement. I am willing to IAR it and still pass this. However, the article lists Barnes's 56 compositions, as well as his many academic articles. This information should be reduced to his most notable work. This would further reduce the article below the 5x expansion requirement, but I am also willing to IAR this. It would also be helpful if more information could be added about this person, if possible, to bring this article back to the 5x requirement. Please ping me once the list has been reduced. @Z1720: Hi, the list of his compositions and publications does not count towards the 5x expansion requirement, only prose. Reducing the list will luckily not bring the article below 5x. Despite this, I'll reduce it. All 56 of his compositions are notable, that is, the fact that he wrote 56. The publications are not so notable, so I removed them. I would add more information if it was possible—what I have cited is really all that is available on Barnes. Published biographical information on carillon players is scarse. I did my best to reach the 5x requirement on prose. Sorry that the copyediting brought it below the requirement. Thrakkx (talk) 01:28, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
Preference for ALT1. Thanks Thrakkx for removing the list of academic works. I still think the compositions should WP:SPINOUT into their own list article, but I won't hold up this DYK nom because of it. I added some sources on the article's talk page that you might be able to use in the article. Z1720 (talk) 01:33, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
