Article is only 1,511 bytes long and is still a stub. It has no structure, no lead and no infobox. Multi-page document cited without page numbers. Could not locate source for Richard M. Sims III's appointment by Jerry Brown (although I have no doubt that he was.) Hawkeye7 (talk) 09:21, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
- The article is 1,511 characters long and 3,584 bytes long. Although it isn't the longest article in the world, it is not a stub; it is a start-class article. In terms of structure, there is a lead paragraph, an education paragraph, a military and early legal career paragraph, a district attorney/judge/justice paragraph, and a paragraph about his son. The lead clearly states that Sims was a justice of the California Court of Appeal and District Attorney of Marin County. No infobox is required by DYK. I had erroneously assumed that a searchable PDF would be adequate for the source, so I have added pages 1–2, 4, 14, and 17 to the citation. Richard M. Sims III's appointment by Jerry Brown is on pages 14 and 17 of the PDF. OCNative (talk) 00:30, 29 October 2011 (UTC)
- I looked through pages 14 and 17 of the document, but they do not say that he was appointed by Jerry Brown. Hawkeye7 (talk) 03:00, 29 October 2011 (UTC)
- I thought it was evident from the interview that he got the appointment and the Governor was Jerry Brown. I have now added a source that explicitly states, "then-Gov. Jerry Brown named him a Placer Superior Court judge" and "He was nominated to the Court of Appeal by Brown" in its text. OCNative (talk) 02:46, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
