- The article is long enough and new enough. I assume good faith on the articles that require a subscription and that there are no copyright violations. I prefer the first hook which is directly cited and the most interesting. SL93 (talk) 19:27, 12 October 2019 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote this, but this seems like a self-congratulatory hook. I read the article and found very little else said about him. Do you have more sources describing his work? Yoninah (talk) 21:45, 3 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: I don't follow - this wasn't said by him, so it is not self-congratulatory, is it? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:11, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- I agree. This seems like a strange reason to not approve a hook. It doesn't even make sense. SL93 (talk) 03:14, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- I'm saying that the whole article is WP:PEACOCK. Aside from his career stats and laudatory comments, there is no real biography here, nothing about his work, his research, his accomplishments. Oh, well, it is start-class, so it will have to pass. I'm wondering why you're not using the actual quote from the article:
- ALT2: ... that Reuben Hill is considered "the founding father of family sociology"? Yoninah (talk) 00:00, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- I see no meaningful difference between main hook and alt2. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:08, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
