Renate Brümmer
- ... that Renate Brümmer (pictured) and Heike Walpot were the only women in the first German astronaut selection, but neither went to space? Source: I linked these but they're not here; cited in line in article
- Reviewed: Fountain of the Canals of the Pear Tree
- Comment: The next in what appears to be a trend of early-women-astronauts-didn't-go-to-space/ nomination for WHM (if it doesn't get reviewed in time for March, her birthday in May 4, so it could go up then)

- Article is long enough and new enough, no copyvio issues. QPQ done, image clear, used in article and free. I was wondering if you could suggest an ALT that focuses more on her accomplishments/her as a person? I know this is very much a subjective thing, but I feel like this hook is quite negative, and there's loads of other interesting information about her. Achaea (talk) 21:59, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
- ALT1: ... that Renate Brümmer (pictured) achieved her PhD in 1986, and was selected as an astronaut a year later?
- @Achaea: How about Alt1? Kingsif (talk) 22:28, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
- Or even just:
- ALT2: ... that Renate Brümmer (pictured) was Germany's first female astronaut?
