Red Shirley
[edit]- ... that Lou Reed directed a short film?
Created by Rosekelleher (talk). Self nominated at 02:38, 25 October 2014 (UTC).
- @Rosekelleher: New enough, long enough, meets core content policies. However, the hook is uncited and uninteresting (What's the significance of someone directing a short film? People do that all the time.) --Jakob (talk) 22:37, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
- It's actually a pretty interesting hook to anyone who knows who Lou Reed is (which I imagine is quite a lot of people, especially Americans) – a film directed by an accomplished musician known for their music and not their filmmaking talents is not something that happens all the time. 97198 (talk) 11:36, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- If what you say is true, that's okay. I also neglected to mention that the article isn't long enough. I will reject this if there is no further response in three days. --Jakob (talk) 13:57, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
- I've expanded the article to reach the DYK length requirements (currently just over 1800 chars, so I added a {{DYKmake}} for myself). Thine Antique Pen (talk) 23:30, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

- Hi, I came to promote this but I couldn't find the term "short" in the source given. I agree that the hook is interesting, but it could be meatier. How about:
- ALT1:
... that in his directorial debut, Lou Reed interviewed his cousin on the eve of her 100th birthday?Yoninah (talk) 22:49, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: I've added a reference that describes it as a "short" documentary film, if you still wish to use that hook. Thine Antique Pen (talk) 22:58, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
