Recreation Ground (Llansantffraid-ym-Mechain)

Recreation Ground

5x expanded by The C of E (talk). Self-nominated at 18:28, 30 April 2016 (UTC).

  • 5x expanded by 30 April. Well-sourced throughout. Hook is interesting (Extra marks for poo!) and sourced to the BBC. No copyvio by any stretch of the imagination (2% max) and QPQ done. '''tAD''' (talk) 23:58, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
  • Wouldn't "dung" be more encyclopedic? Yoninah (talk) 11:45, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
  • I would prefer dung, but this is a euphemism rather than an exaggeration (i.e. "cow shite") so it could fly I suppose. The admins can have the final word. '''tAD''' (talk) 12:28, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
  • I recommend cow dung instead of "cow poo", as more specific and as having its own article, to be linked in the hook. I also recommend including the city's name with a link, rather than just saying that it's in Wales. See alt below. North America1000 12:40, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
  • But 3 editors have already agreed that "dung" is preferable. Yoninah (talk) 00:16, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
  • I support using poo vs dung. I have never heard of cow dung before. How about cow patties? That is what it looks like. Cheers! {{u|Checkingfax}} {Talk} 09:39, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
  • This being an encyclopedia, it's generally advisable to use encyclopedic terms. Notice that poo does not have it's own article (just a disambiguation page), and cow patty redirects to the Cow dung article. North America1000 07:39, 9 May 2016 (UTC)
  • @Northamerica1000: I see others do not agree with me on my attempt to make it more hooky so I will accept dung being used. I defiantly would not want "patties" as that sounds like an Americanism on a British hook (no offense!). Can you or @Yoninah: re-add the green tick please? The C of E God Save the Queen! • Sure. ALT0 verified and cited inline. Restoring tick for ALT0 per The Almightey Drill's review. Yoninah (talk) 21:28, 9 May 2016 (UTC)
