Rallicola, Apterygon

[edit]
  • ... that lice in the genus Apterygon and the Rallicola subgenus Aptericola are endemic to New Zealand and are ectoparasites of Apteryx (kiwi birds)? Source: doi:10.7931/J2/FNZ.76Free access icon. Page 20: "The New Zealand louse fauna is not an exception, with no endemic family, and only two genera (Apterygon, Melibrueelia) and two subgenera of Rallicola (Aptericola, Huiacola) endemic to this country. These endemic genera and subgenera are from endemic terrestrial hosts: kiwis and passerines." As well as pages 39–41, 186–188, and most relevantly 245.

  • Starting Review--Kevmin § 15:09, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
  • Note to Umimmak: because you have nominated two separate articles, Rallicola and Apterygon, you will need to supply a second quid pro quo review: one QPQ per article nominated. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:11, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
  • Articles are both new enough and long enough. Both well cited, neutral, and hook is cited with verified sources. No policy issues are identified and no copyvio problems are seen. nomination looks good to go as soon as the second QPQ is complete.--Kevmin § 00:20, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
