- I don't think we should go with ALT0 because it's too vague, and for that reason, I don't like ALT1 either. I would much prefer ALT2, but that hook is grammatically incorrect since "both" implies that each market has an 80% share. How about ALT3: epicgenius (talk) 22:14, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
- ... that in the early 20th century, the Divisoria and Quinta Markets (pictured) in Manila generated a combined 80% of the city's market tax revenues?
- I feel like ALT3 is a better hook than ALT2, but I find the hook itself quite boring and was hoping to find something more interesting in the article to use as a hook. Barring any alternatives though, as I'm still looking, I'm okay with using this as a fallback in the meantime. --Sky Harbor (talk) 02:34, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
- OK. I will give you some time, but if you don't find anything within the week, I'll just go with ALT3. epicgenius (talk) 03:12, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
- I did some work earlier on the article, and maybe this would be a good ALT4?
- ... that Quinta Market (pictured) in Manila is believed to be the birthplace of the Filipino dessert halo-halo?
- This seems more interesting to me, but what do you think? --Sky Harbor (talk) 16:07, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
@Sky Harbor: Sorry for the belated response. I think ALT4 is a much better hook. Approving it. epicgenius (talk) 01:32, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
