Protestant Film Commission
- ... that the Protestant Film Commission was founded partly in response to the sympathetic portrayal of Catholics in Hollywood films of the 1940s, while Protestants were played for laughs? Source: "while Catholic characters were treated with reverence, Protestants were used to generate laughs" (Romanowski, pp. 109, 112-3; see also Stone, p. 73)

- New article is 6,995 characters long and nominated on the same day as creation. No copyvios detected and no close paraphrasing issues in the only ref that could go through Duplication detector (AGF books and article scans that cannot go through Dup detector). Article is well-sourced. Hook is 183 characters long (under 200 character max.) and is interesting. Refs 1 and 3 (both verifying the hook) are reliable sources. QPQ done. Looks good to go! — Bloom6132 (talk) 22:10, 2 May 2020
