Princes House, Brighton
[edit]- ... that the Alliance Building Society's sports club was established in 1935 with "a second-hand table tennis table and dartboard" in the basement of Princes House (pictured) in Brighton? Source: Middleton (2002), The Encyclopaedia of Hove & Portslade, vol. 11 p. 43. "The Alliance Sports Club was founded in 1935 with 15 members and a second-hand table tennis table and dartboard in the basement of Princes House, Brighton."

(This newer image, just uploaded and not yet added to the article, might be clearer at small size.) Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 12:27, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- Article was started on 22 December & currently has 7559 characters (1220 words) "readable prose". It is written in a neutral tone & supported by good citations from reliable sources (offline citation for hook accepted AGF). Spot checks found no instances of copyvio, plagiarism or close paraphrasing. The image is suitably licenced (but I would agree the new one which is a little brighter might work better). The hook is appropriately formatted but I would wikilink Brighton as not everyone will know where it is. QPQ done.— Rod talk 14:10, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks Rodw; I have swapped the image in the template and the article, and have linked Brighton above. Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 17:35, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
