- I have made a series of copyedits which I don't consider sufficient to disqualify me as reviewer.
- Article is new enough and long enough, and written in a policy-compliant manner.
- Hook fact is sourced / cited, references formatted acceptably. I'm not wild about a couple of them, but I don't doubt they are correct.
- Hook is interesting for those unaware of the tradition.
- Earwig confirms not copyright issue, no plagiarism noticed.
- QPQ was brief but covered required areas.
- Image is on Commons with a free license, and is clear at the size for a DYK lead image.
