Polynesian Dog
[edit]- ... that the extinct Polynesian Dog was brought alongside chicken and pig as food sources for the Polynesian people on their voyages? "Ancestral Polynesians brought with them three domesticated animals (the pig, chicken, and dog)" [1]; also multiple sources used in the article have the same idea.
- ALT1:... that the extinct Polynesian Dog never became feral because of the scarcity of food in the forests of Polynesia? Source: "The Pacific dog never developed a life of its own, never became feral, for food in the forest was lacking. It had to fill the niche that man and nature made for it, and never had a chance to venture beyond" [2]
- ALT2:... that the extinct Polynesian Dog possibly shared a remote ancestor with the Australian dingo? Source: [3]

- GTG with all hooks. New, long and neutral enough, QPQ done. I slightly prefer ALT1, & ALT2 is rather vague. Main hook also ok, but might be better just concentrating on the dogs as food aspect. This reference might be better. Earwig says "Violation Unlikely, 18.0%, confidence". Johnbod (talk) 17:25, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
