... that more massive mangrove molly morphs may manifest many mottles (demonstrated)? Source: "Poecilia orri "vetiprovidentiae" is a medium sized deep bodied morph. The dorsal fin pigmentation is a more or less transverse band of spot."[1]
ALT1: ... that mangrove molly morphs (manifested) maintain multiple microhabitats? Source: "It is represented by two distinct forms. These forms are sympatric, with different micro-habitats." [2]
ALT2: ... that male mangrove mollies(snapped) mate sneakily? Source: "... Poecilia orri (mangrove molly; Farr 1989), males exclusively rely on sneaky copulations without prior courtship." [3]
Overall: @Surtsicna: Learned something new from the sources "sneak-copulate". I like ALT2 and since "sneakily" is an actual word it works. The image is free and looks clear at this size, but when clicked on it looks blurry to me. Lightburst (talk) 18:47, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
