Phyllanthus balgooyi
- ... that the phloem sap (pictured) of Phyllanthus balgooyi contains up to 16.9 percent nickel by weight? "Nickel biopathways in tropical nickel hyperaccumulating trees from Sabah (Malaysia)". Scientific Reports. 7 (1). doi:10.1038/srep41861., p2: "Phyllanthus balgooyi (Phyllanthaceae) was only recently discovered and described from the Philippines and Malaysian Borneo. This species is highly unusual because its stem exudes a green sap that contains up to 16.9% Ni"
- ALT1:... that the phloem sap (pictured) of Phyllanthus balgooyi contains so much nickel, that it has a bright green color? Source: Hoffmann, Petra; Baker, Alan J.M.; Madulid, Domingo A.; Proctor, John (2003). "Phyllanthus Balgooyi (euphorbiaceae S.L.), a New Nickel-Hyperaccumulating Species from Palawan and Sabah". - ALT2:... that some insects consume the nickel-rich leaves of Phyllanthus balgooyi to concentrate the metal in their own bodies as a defense mechanism? Source: van der Ent, Antony; Erskine, Peter; Sumail, Sukaibin (2015). "Ecology of nickel hyperaccumulator plants from ultramafic soils in Sabah (Malaysia)". Chemoecology. 25 (5): 243–259. doi:10.1007/s00049-015-0192-7., pp255-256: "Specialist insect herbivores may feed on Ni hyperaccumulators without negative effects and one geometric moth species has been found in this study to feed exclusively on the Ni hyperaccumulator Phyllanthus balgooyi. Such Ni-tolerant insects preferentially feed on Ni hyperaccumulators to increase their own body Ni content to deter their predators"

- Article moved to mainspace recently enough and long enough. No copyvio. Article looks well-cited. I like Alt1 best! I think it accompanies the picture well. The facts from Alt1 are cited in the article and supported by the source. The image is used in the article in question. The image is accurately licensed from the source material and of suitable copyright status to use. Just waiting for QPQ. Enwebb (talk) 15:30, 12 September 2019 (UTC)
