Pecorino (grape)

[edit]

Sheep

  • ... that sheep (pictured) would often snack on Pecorino in the vineyard?

  • Comment: April's Fool hook. I'm going with March 24th as the start date (with the March 22nd version as the pre-expansion size) since another user started expanding the article that day with cut and paste copyrighted material. I caught it early and removed/rewrote all that material starting on the 25th--still within the 5 day window of using the March 22nd version for 5x expansion.

5x expanded by Agne27 (talk). Self nominated at 18:08, 26 March 2013 (UTC).

  • I'm  Doing... the review. It may take some time. Thanks for submitting the nomination! --Tito Dutta (contact) 04:41, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
  • a) 5x expansion done (including the copyrighted portion removal) b) image license checked c) hook properly sourced d) This article uses the word enjoy (i.e. enjoy eating Pecorino), IMO, (not DYK criteria), if you mention it in the hook, it'll be more catchy. I think, we can delete "vineyard" from the hook! Because, when you mention "vineyard", it seems the sheep went there for grazing! --Tito Dutta (contact) 04:54, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
I've never done an April's Fools DYK so if you think it's more "punchy" without the vineyard then we can certainly remove it. The original image in my head was of sheep having a wine and cheese picnic in the vineyard. :) I decided against adding the word "enjoy" in the original hook even though it is in that one source since how do we know that the sheep really "enjoyed it"? The source is kind of subscribing human emotion and supposition to animals. I dunno, maybe I'm being overly analytically for an April's Fool hook :P I'll list both options as Alts. • ALT1 ... that sheep (pictured) would often snack on Pecorino?
  • ALT2 ... that sheep (pictured) enjoy snacking on Pecorino?
  • the main hook and the ALTS- all are fine. Good to got for 1 April's main page (if there is any scope) --Tito Dutta (contact) 20:09, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
