This is a really fascinating and detailed article. I found some grammar awkwardness that should be clarified:
- " ... the aircraft had suffered a runaway propeller as it departed San Francisco ... " Was there something wrong with the propeller?
- Runaway propellers had been described in the last paragraph of the Aircraft section before I added the citation about the San Francisco incident, overlooking the fact that I hadn't yet defined what a runaway propeller was. I moved the section describing the overall history of the Stratocruisers, which includes defining what a runaway propeller is, to the second paragraph of that section.
- " ... and centrifugal force forces ... " Awkward wording.
- Agreed. I changed that.
- " ... had been flying with the company since 1942 since his graduation ... " Perhaps, " ... since his 1942 graduation ..."
- Agreed. Another instance of writing and rewriting to add and move information around.
- "As soon as the aircraft was reported missing and all fuel supplies had been exhausted ... " Whose fuel supplies?
- The missing aircraft. I reworded that sentence to more clearly state that.
