  • I don't think this hook will do. The article does not even mention the word "mayor" and in any event, it is unclear to me what thirty-six year span the hook is designed to cover. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:39, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth: The term "municipal president" is the formal title for a mayor in Mexico, but they're essentially the same thing (this is why your search failed you). Second paragraph of "early political career" section says that the "next year" after 1976 (1977), he got a position in the city government. He was municipal president between 2013 and 2015. Well that clears up the thirty-six years, but I don't think the hook should mention "mayor" if the article does not. Why not just change the hook to "municipal president"? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 04:56, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
  • @Cwmhiraeth: I've done that, even though I worried it would be a little less accessible to a general reader. Raymie (tc) 21:28, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
  • Thank you. This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are supported by inline citations and the article is neutral. I have not considered policy issues because of the Spanish language sources. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 04:50, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
