Overdrawn at the Memory Bank

- GA article. Passes earwig. Large portions of the article are not cited. Both hooks are somewhat clunky. --evrik (talk) 17:22, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
- evrik I reviewed the article for GA and I'm confused about what you mean by large portions being uncited. The plot is never required to be cited. The cast section doesn't need to be cited per GA film articles, but that might be different for DYK. SL93 (talk) 17:40, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
- SL93 Can you link the DYK guidelines that confirm what you're saying? --evrik (talk) 19:10, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
- evrik Yes. Wikipedia:Did you know/Reviewing guide - "The article in general should use inline cited sources. A rule of thumb for DYK is a minimum of one citation per paragraph, possibly excluding the introduction, plot summaries, and paragraphs which summarize information that's cited elsewhere." I think that the cast needs to be cited per DYK rules even when GA doesn't require it, but the plot rule has been around for a long time. Many DYKs upon many DYKs have went to the main page with uncited plot summaries since at least 2010. It has been said that the film, episode, book, etc. is the source itself for the plot. - I will leave citing the cast section to the nominator. SL93 (talk) 20:03, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
