Otto Weiß (pilot)
[edit]- ... that Otto Weiß (pictured) was the first Luftwaffe attack aircraft pilot to receive the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross?

- Date, expansion, overall quality of the article check out (I've made a few minor tweaks and additions), image copyright status is OK. AGF on hook citation, I've added a duplicate reference at the end of the hook sentence to comply with DYK rules. Nice and concise article. Constantine ✍ 23:09, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
- The hook here says he was the first "attack aircraft pilot" to receive the honor, but in the article it says he was the first "dive bomber pilot". The two are not the same thing: all dive bombers may be attack aircraft, but not vice versa. If the hook were to be changed from "attack aircraft" to "dive bomber", it would match the article. (Or, if the source supports "attack aircraft", then the article can be changed and the hook remain unchanged.) BlueMoonset (talk) 06:04, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- It should be attack aircraft! Comment addressed! MisterBee1966 (talk) 07:34, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- Approval restored; article now says "attack aircraft" where it had said "dive bomber", and hook is now supported. BlueMoonset (talk) 07:43, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
