Oran fatwa

[edit]
  • ... that shortly after the forced conversions of Muslims in Castile, a fatwa was issued which allowed outward practice of Christianity while secretly keeping the Islamic faith ....?
  • Reviewed: According to WP:WIADYK, if I have less than five DYK credits, I am exempt from the QPQ requirement.

Review

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems

Hook eligibility:

Image eligibility:

QPQ: No - not required as this is the author's third DYK (Rebellion of the Alpujarras (1499–1501) and Ahmad ibn Abi Jum'ah)
Overall: The hook corresponds to a statement in the lead which doesn't have a direct citation. Also note that there's a quotation "key theological document" which doesn't appear in the citation provided (Stewart). The quotation actually seems to come from Harvey p60. Quotations should have specific citations per WP:V and so this requires attention. Generally, this seems to be good scholarly work, so thanks for the submission. Andrew D. Thanks for the review! I added an inline citation (with direct quoted text inside the <ref> tag) for the passage in the lead corresponding to the fact mentioned in the hook. "Key theological document" also appears in Stewart p. 266, in lines 2-4 of he page. But it seems Stewart actually Harvey p60 here, so I added both as inline citation for this passage. In general I also added several more inline citation throughout the article. Let me know if these changes are sufficient and if there is anything else for me to address! QPQ: No - not required as this is the author's third DYK (Rebellion of the Alpujarras (1499–1501) and Ahmad ibn Abi Jum'ah)

Overall: There's a citation for the hook now and so it's good to go. Andrew D. (talk) 09:52, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
