Optimo (EP)
[edit]- ... that "White Lines (Don't Don't Do It)" by Grandmaster Melle Mel interpolates a song from Liquid Liquid's EP Optimo?
- ALT1:... that the legal costs of enforcing the copyright on Liquid Liquid's Optimo EP led to the closure of 99 Records?
- ALT2:... that Sugar Hill Records declared bankruptcy after a judgment against it for interpolating "Cavern" from Liquid Liquid's Optimo EP?
5x expanded by Hinnk (talk). Self nominated at 01:10, 23 December 2014 (UTC).
- I had almost forgotten — I used to have a copy of this on cassette back in the day, and was very confused when I later heard White Lines and the bass line was the same. Anyway, the date and 5x expansion check out. I prefer the main hook because it's about the actual music rather than the legal maneuvers, but they're all ok. QPQ still needs to be done (nominator has 9 DYKs already); otherwise good to go. —David Eppstein (talk) 22:57, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
