Neocyema erythrosoma
[edit]- ... that the larval form of the bobtail snipe eel Neocyema erythrosoma was first described more than 60 years earlier than the adult fish was discovered?

- Date is good; expansion is more than enough (c. 13×); QPQ carried out. The hook is interesting, and is cited to a reliable source (the abstract contains enough information to verify the hook, and the first page is visible here). I see no evidence of copyright violations in the page available to me. I have edited the hook slightly (commas removed), to avoid the impression that this is the bobtail snip eel, rather than just a bobtail snipe eel. Good to go! (I have also moved the page in line with WP:TOL guidelines on monotypic genera; I think I've fixed everything here, but if a DYK regular could check, that would be great.) --Stemonitis (talk) 15:29, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
