Nelson's kangaroo rat
[edit]( )
- ... that Nelson's kangaroo rat lives in a complex burrow which sometimes includes tunnels dug through the subsurface rock?

- Significantly expanded (amply so!) within the last seven days, long enough, is within policy (neutral and properly referenced, no close paraphrasing etc.). QPQ OK. I made some small fixes to improve accuracy. However, I think the hook still needs a slight modification to be accurate — "through" the subsurface rock rather than "into". Also the article needs a similar fix. Otherwise, fine work! Micromesistius (talk) 20:02, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
- I don't mind making the change you suggest to hook and article but I envision these tunnels as being blind alleys rather than being through highways so think the current phrasing is better. What do you think? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:12, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
- My interpretation is that there is a hard layer of subsurface rock, then some softer rock/sediment where the tunnels continued, out of reach of the collector. However, the source is a bit ambiguous in this regard. Micromesistius (talk) 08:12, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
- I'll make the changes. I am really appreciating having access to JSTOR. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:40, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
