Mthatha Airport
[edit]... that Nelson Mandela's body was flown to Mthatha Airport for his funeral?
5x expanded by Nathan121212 (talk). Self nominated at 18:11, 12 September 2014 (UTC).
- I have reviewed the article and as a result edited it primarily to makes some corrections and clarifications and to comply with DYK rules, e.g. the hook was not explicity sourced inline as the source cited at the end of the sentence did not mention the funeral only the burial and the memorial service was actually held in Johannesburg not in the Eastern Cape. It is new enough, long enough, neutral enough, sourced enough, original enough and hook and qpq are ok too. HelenOnline 11:45, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- 5x expansion verified. I removed quite a bit of close paraphrasing from the page. The third paragraph under "Military usage and control" needs a cite, per DYK rules. Yoninah (talk) 23:55, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Done. Nathan121212 (talk) 06:17, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you. I think the hook could be hookier, such as:
- ALT1: ... that Mthatha Airport was turned into a military zone and no-fly zone to accommodate the body of Nelson Mandela and heads of state attending his funeral in the nearby village of Qunu? Yoninah (talk) 10:55, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: cool, I like it. ALT1 is also sourced. Nathan121212 (talk) 11:51, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
