• I think you've cited the wrong source for the first hook. The Phrase "the idea of The Great Depression" doesn't appear in the Los Angeles Review of Books article. However, when I find the hook fact in the article you've cited two sources for that sentence, and the hook fact does appear in the other one, the Orbit Books review. • This article is a five-fold expansion and is new enough and long enough, although I do not understand the remark you make above about your students. Approving ALT1 and ALT2, the hook facts are sourced inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues (although Earwig was down). A QPQ seems to have been done, so good to go. • Hi, I came by to promote this. I think the nominator means to say "reviewed" rather than "removed" in his comment. ALT2 is very hooky, but AFAIK reddit is not a reliable source. It will have to be removed from the article, which would leave one paragraph without a citation, per Rule D2. Yoninah (talk) 01:04, 27 January 2019 (UTC)

• @Cwmhiraeth:, @Yoninah: - I've removed this paragraph. I did mean both review and remove - what I would try to do with the students is review the DYKs and if anything was missing or needed work, I'd let them know. If they had nominated something that was obviously not going to qualify (typically them making a small edit on a page with no expansions at all), I'd let them know to continue to expand it and if they hadn't, I'd typically close those out as failed nominations. I would generally try to wait until the class was over, to give them enough time to work. I figured why put that on you guys - DYK is backlogged enough.
