Mongolian studies
[edit]- ... that scholars in the field of Mongolian studies are often referred to as Mongolists?
- ALT1:... that Isaac Jacob Schmidt is generally regarded as the "founder" of Mongolian studies as an academic discipline?

No copyvios seen; new enough, long enough, prefer first hook to second, as Schmidt's name will be unfamiliar to most. Specific page cited is not visible to me in the link, but I can see the info contained therein is true, looking at other sources. Article is neutral and well-cited, though could be expanded. Suggest adding photo of founder since it is public domain. And suggest anon get an account. Ribbet32 (talk) 03:18, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Ribbet32: Just a short note: the anonymous IP editor does not need an account, as per Wikipedia:Why create an account?. This means that "they cannot upload files or images", but that they can edit most pages, so this expansion of article is okay. Your rest of the review is fine, though. epicgenius (talk) 17:29, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Epicgenius: @210.6.254.106: That wasn't a condition to this DYK, just a friendly encouragement to our anon friend who is obviously a great editor, and will hopefully stick around. Ribbet32 (talk) 17:47, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Ribbet32: Oh, I see. Thanks for the clarification. The way I read it, I thought you suggested that the IP editor should create an account in order to pass this DYK. epicgenius (talk) 18:01, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
