Mick Jagger
[edit]... that Mick Jagger has been referred to as "the rock and roll frontman" by billboard.com? Source: "Fifty-plus years on top makes the Stones the rock and roll band and Jagger the rock and roll frontman." ([1])ALT1:... that Mick Jagger is the lead singer for The Rolling Stones? Okay... you probably did. Source: [2]
Improved to Good Article status by TheSandDoctor (talk). Self-nominated at 03:11, 12 September 2017 (UTC).
- TheSandDoctor, making an edit to ALT1, which, for the joke to work, has too much in it; besides, how many people know the exact year that the Stones were formed? I didn't. Adding that part as an ALT2. In general, though, isn't there something juicier/more interesting from Jagger's life? That he thought about becoming a journalist, that he dropped out of LSE (and then dropped LSD), that he has 8 kids... How about that the Hells Angels tried to kill him?

- Thanks Usernameunique, a user transcluded this in good faith (which I thank them for) when, due to real life circumstances, I did not have time to finish the nomination, I have not added all of the hooks that I have intended to add.
- ALT4: ... that the Hells Angels once plotted to murder Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, but the plot was foiled by bad weather conditions? Source: [5]
ALT5: ... that Mick Jagger received his knighthood in the Queen's Birthday Honours 2002? Source: [6]ALT6: ... that Mick Jagger has been nominated 17 times for Grammy awards, winning 2 of them? Source: [7][8]ALT7: ... that Mick Jagger has was 2 Grammy awards, and been nominated 15 other times? Source: [9][10]
- No problem TheSandDoctor. Adding ALT8 as a variant of ALT4—I like the image of a bunch of leather-clad bikers swimming.
- You are right, come to think of it. --TheSandDoctor (talk) 23:02, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

What do you think of the hooks now Usernameunique? --TheSandDoctor (talk) 17:15, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- TheSandDoctor GA, in time, long enough, sourced, no apparent copyvios. Striking some hooks which I find less interesting. Issues:
- QPQ needed.
- I can't approve my own hooks. I've struck two of them, but do like ALT8. Will need someone else to approve that one.
- Are the Grammy mentions in the article? Not my favorite hooks regardless, but I don't see them mentioned.
- Not a DYK issue, but two of the Hells Angels sources are the same—I think you accidentally used the same link twice. --Usernameunique (talk) 15:37, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Usernameunique: Thanks, will do QPQ asap. --TheSandDoctor (talk) 17:40, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- Struck all but ALT4 and ALT8. Once TheSandDoctor does a QPQ we're ready to go. Morganfitzp (talk) 13:29, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Morganfitzp:@Usernameunique: QPQ is now done (see above). --TheSandDoctor (talk) 16:51, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- Per Usernameunique's and Morganfitzp's review, everything is fine. ALT8 seems great! QPQ done. Adityavagarwal (talk) 17:17, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
