- Copyvio. I only checked one source (http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2009/03/03/miangas-island-no-worries.html), but nearly everything cited to it was copied verbatim. Compare for example (with similarities bolded): "Consequently, the island was inherited by Indonesia, being the successor of the Netherlands. In international law, this principle is known as uti possidetis juris, where territory and boundaries of a state resemble those of its predecessor. Simply speaking, there should be no worries that the Philippines as successor of the United States of America, or other states could claim sovereignty over Miangas island" vs "Consequently, the island was inherited by Indonesia, being the successor of the Netherlands. In international law, this principle is known as uti possidetis juris, where territory and boundaries of a state resemble those of its predecessor. Simply speaking, there should be no worries that the Philippines or other states could claim sovereignty over Pulau Miangas." Nikkimaria (talk) 04:23, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
