5x expanded by Launchballer (talk). Self-nominated at 11:11, 7 December 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Messy in Heaven; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.
- Drive-by comment that I think this is a nom for which the lyrics hook (alt3) works very well, especially if it was to go in a Christmas set (based on how readers interact with them) and because it is a complete sentence that makes sense. (Also noting that IMHO Alts 1 and 2 are IMHO weak.) Kingsif (talk) 02:14, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
- This is a drive-by response to the drive-by comment above. ALT3 should not be used after there was an entire discussion about how lyrics alone should not be used as DYK hooks. Aoba47 (talk) 15:50, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
- Aoba47, hence I thought it was worth leaving a comment to say I think this is a good nom to be an exception, with specific reference to how alt3 does not have the nonsensical flaw that was one of the major complaints of the Piri & Tommy lyrics hooks. I wouldn't have left the drive-by if that discussion hadn't happened (meaning alt3 would've likely been struck down despite its merits), surely that was obvious. I am hopping back in as I would not want this nomination to stall. It does appear that the article was 5x expanded and was nominated in the appropriate time frame. Aside from ALT3, any of the other hooks are appropriate and I could see drawing attention from readers so this should be ready to go. I do not see any obvious issues with the article itself. Aoba47 (talk) 23:18, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
- And a reminder to any promoter that the discussion about lyrics hooks does not ban them at all, and judgement should be used. If a promoter agrees that alt3 is suitable for a quirky special slot, there is nothing preventing it being used. Kingsif (talk) 00:25, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
- A prep builder can't promote a hook that hasn't been approved by the reviewer. Any uninvolved user can offer their own approval, but a consensus would be need to be formed over the objection, so it could not be done unilaterally. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 17:00, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
