Messenger of Peace (missionary ship)
[edit]... that in 1827, John Williams built his own mission ship, the Messenger of Peace. Using no proper tools, and with no special knowledge in shipbuilding, he built the ship, in only fifteen weeks, from scrap metal, and anything to hand. Then with the sails made of matting, set sail around the South Seas 80 islands, spreading christianity throughout the Society Islands?Source: https://www.newspapers.com/clip/29894751/john_williams_missionary/

- Comment: @Broichmore: The hook is far too long. Please read WP:DYKHOOK for some points on writing a hook, and please make sure to include a link to the subject of the DYK, in this case Messenger of Peace (missionary ship). Mindmatrix 21:31, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
- Indeed, I have shortened it. Thanks. Broichmore (talk) 20:33, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
