- Noting that the following hook was proposed by Narutolovehinata5 on the DYK talk page:
- ALT1: ... that organist Jehan Alain's Messe modale en septuor was written for a septet of soprano, alto, flute and string quartet?
- @Gerda Arendt: The text "The Messe modale is a modal mass for soprano, alto, flute and string quartet" is cited to page 58 in Shrock's Choral Repetoire. I was able to find a copy of the book on archive.org and page 58 doesn't correspond to this information. Was a different page number supposed to be cited instead? - I missed another ALT that was proposed on WT:DYK, not sure who proposed it:
- ALT2 ... that organist Jehan Alain composed the Messe modale en septuor [for Saint-Nicolas in Maisons-Laffitte (pictured), set] for a septet of soprano, alto, flute and string quartet?
- I think that's all of them. Z1720 (talk) 15:40, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, - sorry that I copied the page number wrong. 587, not 58. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:54, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
