Mersey Match Factory
[edit]- ... that the Mersey Match Factory (pictured) was the first building in the United Kingdom to be constructed using the flat-slab concrete technique?
- Reviewed: Eric Ashby (naturalist)
- Comment: Hook confirmed by Ref 3 (offline). Ref 5 (online) says it "is amongst the earliest British applications of a pioneer technique" but IMO Ref 3 Buildings of England series (the successor to the Pevsner Architectural Guides) is more authoritative.
Created by Peter I. Vardy (talk). Self nominated at 15:12, 30 September 2013 (UTC).
- Length, date and hook references verified. While ref 3 is AGF, ref 5 supports the hook text partly. No copy vio. Img is freely licensed. Good to go.--Nvvchar. 00:49, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
